Stoofs about I
Soo.... let's see...
name's Marcel, though probably most of you guys know me by the name Shoroo (or you may call me just Sho as well!). I was born in July 1994, so around 30 years old and I'm living in the surroundings of Bremen in Germany. I'm working as a web developer since 2013 (started to code way more back in the past though) and so it's pretty obvious that I coded this page myself :)
It has always been bothering me that I'm DJing, but still hadn't any page at all... it was just wrong considering my job xD
Anyways more about me:
I'm loving cookies more than everything and I also love japanese stuff (the language, I can't really speak or write it though; their food; their formal behaviour; etc.)!
In my freetime I was practicing a lot of archery (for over 12 years) and was competing on national level in it. I wrote "was", because I more or less reached everything I wanted to and thus am only rarely attending practice sessions now. Another thing I love to do as a hobby is the coding of websites (like this one), though usually I'm starting something and drop it at some point, because it's just a time-killer (little fun fact: I originally planned and started working on this page in 2017 and just now in 2022 continued it to almost completion xD). Oh and I love cooking (f.e. japanese lol) stoof and baking, too!
SL and me
I've started being in SecondLife in August 2011 (that's quite some way in the past o.O) thanks to a friend introducing me to it (shouts out to Asri at this point!). Right from the beginning I got kind of connected to "club life" since I went to the Ruins Club (good ol' days) nearly on a daily basis and quite soon after joining SL I started to work as a dancer there and got to know of quite a lot of kind and nice people! Sadly the club got disbanded due to private reasons (still thank you Ravi and John for the great time!).
But not that much later in, I suppose something around March 2012, the (by that time) Fuck Hall was founded by Aparo, which originally was just a sex sim, but then also got expanded with a club building. I used that opportunity to start as a DJ, I mean what could possibly go wrong in a new club? Nothing really, I thought :)
Though it worked out quite well and still today I get sometimes called very-first DJ by Jo, which is obviously true since I was the first DJ of the club, but it's still funny to be called like that and it certainly makes me proud :)
Oh and I got another nickname by some People (shouts out to Emma): "Keksvernichter" (literally translated from german into english it says "Cookie destroyer")! I think that one fits me quite well considering my love for cookies lol... anyways, back to topic :D
After a few years (I dunno exactly, maybe in 2014?) the Fuck Hall was, due to it's obvious provoking name, renamed into Fabric Dance Club, which still is the current name of the club, and was moved onto a skybox instead of the building next to the sex sim (for performance and other, more obvious, reasons lol).
Then I quit/paused SL for quite a long time, only really rarely showing up there, but I am in the process of trying to be somewhat regularly online again... which is kinda tough when having loads of hobbies :'D
Why become a DJ (again)?
Well basically I was a DJ all the time (starting with being one in the Fuck Hall), even though I was an inactive one at some point lol. But it wasn't because of I was bored or anything from being it, it were rather personal reasons (school and then the switch into work life), which prevented me from being online more constantly.
But now I got sorted most changes out (finished my apprenticeship as designer of digital and print media and started working as web developer) and am looking forward to move out of my current home soon enough (woo \o/) and thus might be able to continue DJing and being in SL generally again!
Another reason is that I completely reworked my gear, as in new rig (computer) and even a digital DJ controller (for the start, but who knows, maybe later a CDJ or even a vinyl turntable?!) as well as new tunez (just for y'all!).
Shoroo desu, yoroshiku onegaishimasu :)
